Joshua Sisco is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) and the founder and Executive Director of The Mandy Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Behavioral Health, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. He specializes in trauma recovery, first responder mental health, suicide prevention, and crisis intervention.
Josh founded The Mandy Foundation in 2025. It was originally launched in 2024 as The Mandy Initiative in loving memory of his best friend, Amanda “Mandy” Faye Fogg, who died by suicide in 2017. The Foundation is dedicated to providing accessible, trusted suicide prevention and behavioral health resources to the general public, first responders, veterans, and their families — while honoring Mandy’s legacy by creating hope and saving lives.
He holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is currently a Doctoral Student in Counselor Education and Supervision. Josh also founded Atlas Path Counseling & Wellness, a cash-pay telehealth practice serving clients across Arkansas.
His professional background includes work with the Northwest Arkansas Regional Crisis Stabilization Unit and the Forensic Outpatient Restoration Program (FORP), where he conducted suicide risk assessments, mental health evaluations, and restoration services for justice-involved individuals across eight Arkansas counties. He also serves as a volunteer crisis counselor with Crisis Text Line.
Josh is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP). He is also a Certified Compassion Fatigue Educator and a SafeTALK Trainer.
For nearly a decade, Josh has been deeply involved with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), previously serving as Advocacy Co-Chair for the Arkansas Chapter and continuing his work as a Field Advocate. He has collaborated with lawmakers on initiatives such as The Armory Project to reduce firearm suicides and supported the passage of Act 231 (HB1256) to expand Arkansas’ mental health workforce.
Fueled by personal loss, extensive frontline experience, and a deep passion for advocacy, Josh remains committed to building a future where mental health support and suicide prevention resources are accessible to everyone who needs them.
